MORPETH FAIR DAY

Get ready for a day of fun, excitement and adventure for all the family. Morpeth Fair Day is back! This year will see an extravaganza of events take over the town on June 8th and 9th, culminating with the much-loved Morpeth Fair Day.

Fairground rides will be taking over Newmarket Street from Thursday 6th June before taking over the town as the festivities ramp up on Sunday 9th.

After attracting over 30,000 visitors to the event each year, organisers have extended Fair Day celebrations across the Saturday 8th June which will see Brass Does Rock partying in the park performing hits from across the decades during the day,  and a Fair Day Food Market to browse before the big event on Sunday.

The main event on Sunday will kick-off with a free morning Junior fun run from Morpeth Harriers, who at the end will receive a goodie bag. This will then be followed by a vintage car and motorbike procession at midday cruising through the streets of Morpeth from the Railway Station to the Stanners. On the Stanners, there will also be something for your furry friends to enjoy! The Doggy Day Care Centre are hosting a number of dog activities including a charity dog show, agility course, K9 activities, and a dog photo booth. The Dog First Aid Co will be there giving you all the tips to make sure you can provide the best care for your dog.

Lined along Bridge Street will be a range of different traders selling everything from sweet treats to stunning handmade gifts. For all you foodies out there, there will also be a food quarter based on Oldgate just past the clock tower where you’ll be able to sample a variety of delicious treats from local traders. There’s even more activities down The Stanners too where you’ll find a range of entertainment including vintage cars, Harley Bikes and an army climbing wall.

Finally, the main stage at the top of Bridge Street will see local bands playing throughout the day. Sit back and enjoy listening to some of the region’s top music talents.

All in all, Morpeth Fair Day promises to be an incredible event that’s not to be missed. So, gather your friends and family, and head down to Morpeth for a day of fun, laughter, and excitement. We can’t wait to see you there!
