Morpeth Fair Day 2023 was a massive success welcoming over 30,000 people to the centre of Morpeth. The event covered four parts of the town with Bridge Street, Oldgate, New Market and The Stanners filled with activities for the whole family to enjoy.

The event had local traders, street food, live music stage, a dog show, and a vintage car procession that had over 100 cars take part.

This year also saw an introduction to the Mini Fair Day Starter with a market being held on the Market Place on the Saturday. This was filled with local traders selling amazing street food and crafty gifts.

We want to give a massive thank you to all our sponsors who supported us, Bristol Street Motors, Bella Boo’s, Tomahawk Steakhouse and North of Tyne Combined Authority.

The King’s Coronation was celebrated with our Morpeth’s Coronation Garden Party that was held on the Stanners on Sunday 7th May.

Morpeth Town Council in conjunction with Morpeth Fair Day organised a celebration for the King’s Coronation. The day was kicked off with an ribbon opening ceremony from the Mayor, who began to get the crowds involved in a hearty presentation of patriotism with a rendition of God Save the King. 

 The event was a massive success and was enjoyed by hundreds of local residents and beyond. The day was full of family fun with pony rides, fairground rides, food and drink traders and a five-a-side football tournament from the local children’s teams.

There has been nothing but praise for the event on social media with many saying they had a wonderful time and look forward to our next event – Morpeth Fair Day.
